The importance of protein

Proteins : an Excellent Appetite Suppressor

Proteins are your body’s building bloks. As thus, they are essential to its life. They are among the least caloric nutrients and, as opposed to sugars and lipids (fat), they never transform into fat and do not get stored as fat.

Moreover, eating proteins not only stimulates serotonin synthesis (which acts on the sensation of satiety), but it helps reduce appetite.

Context

In 1997, the Bernard Beaufrère team, from the Laboratory for Human Nutrition Research of Clermont-Ferrand (France), established a distinction between “slow” proteins, acting on metabolism, and “fast” proteins.

Slowly digested proteins, such as casein – mostly containes in Inovacure proteins – support good metabolic performance, the successful synthesis of proteins and muscle mass protection.

Inovacure Proteins

Our products are made from proteins containing 22 amino acids, 9 of which are essential. Inovacure mostly uses milk proteins (milk proteins contrite, milk proteins isolate, whey protein concentrate, sodium caseinate, calcium caseinate), which are recognized by Canadian Food Inspection Agency as being the most complete.

Other animal proteins (egg whites) as well as plant-based proteins (soya protein isolate) are added to some products. Bovine proteins in the form of hydrolyzed gelatine are sometimes used to give a more pleasant texture to products.

Proteins are extracted through microfiltration.
